The Hague – Maanplein

Together with Jan Harberts, Hollandschap designed the landscape plan for the Maanplein in The Hague. Architecture, landscape, and infrastructure are well balanced in the design of the plan. The Maanplein is a unique working environment, where nature is an important aspect. The surroundings and the environment are well balanced to create a pleasant atmosphere both inside and outside.

Full-grown trees, ponds, and rockeries give extra character to the undulated landscape.  The paths in the area form excisions in the natural underground. Walkers can move around the three squares that are all connected to the promenade along the water.
